This article explains how to use InterScribe features effectively in your events.
Captions and translations are at the heart of InterScribe’s mission to make events accessible. Captions are always enabled for every session, and translations are automatically provided in over 100 supported languages — with no setup required.
This guide explains how the system works and how attendees can take full advantage of the multilingual experience.
Captions are automatically enabled in every session, across all plans. As soon as audio is streamed into InterScribe, it is transcribed into the original language and displayed as real-time captions to participants.
There is no option to disable captions. This ensures that accessibility is preserved across all use cases — whether the session is private or public, live or pre-scheduled.
InterScribe offers automatic translation into over 100 languages, and all supported languages are always available to participants. Organizers cannot restrict language options, ensuring that attendees from any background can participate fully.
When audio interpretation (AI or human) is not available for a language, attendees can still listen to captions using their device’s built-in text-to-speech (TTS) system. This works on most modern phones and computers through accessibility settings.
TTS fallback allows InterScribe to deliver a voice experience even in languages not yet supported for audio streaming.
