How accurate is the AI interpretation? Our engine typically reaches over 95% accuracy with clear audio. You can further improve results with event context, custom glossaries, and optional human QA.
How good is the AI audio interpretation? AI audio interpretation is in Beta. There's a brief delay of a few seconds to maintain context-aware accuracy. For many scenarios, quality is comparable to that of experienced human interpreters.
Can I use my own interpreters? Yes. All plans support bringing your own interpreters. Higher-tier plans allow assigning language channels, real-time monitoring, and unlimited interpreter slots.
Can I use both AI and human interpreters? Absolutely. You can mix and match human and AI interpreters in the same session. Use AI for some languages and humans for others. You can switch in real time.
What types of events does InterScribe work best for? InterScribe is ideal for hybrid and in-person events, including conferences, trainings, church services, town halls, webinars, and multilingual community gatherings.
What do participants need to join? They just need a smartphone or browser with internet access. For physical events, we recommend providing good Wi-Fi and encouraging headphone use. Some organizers also provide disposable earpods to improve experience.
What are the technical requirements? At least 5 Mbps of stable internet bandwidth is recommended. For interpreters, use a noise-cancelling headset and a quiet environment.
How do I connect my event audio? Use our browser-based Web Agent or the downloadable InterScribe Agent for Mac, Windows, or Linux. Some users deploy low-power devices (like Raspberry Pi) to connect audio output from mixers. We also support RTMP, WHIP, SRT, and HLS/MP4—but these introduce more latency and are better suited for virtual-only sessions.
Can I stream from YouTube or Vimeo? You can use video from platforms like YouTube, but you'll still need to route the original event audio into InterScribe using our Agent. This ensures accurate, real-time captions and interpretation.
Can I embed InterScribe in my site? Direct embedding is coming soon. For now, you can share Frontdoor URLs, event links, or QR codes. If you use YouTube or Vimeo for video, you can embed those links into the participant view.
Can I change interpreters or languages mid-event? Yes. You can add new languages, remove interpreters, switch between AI and human channels, and adjust session setup even during a live event.
Do you provide live support? Yes. All paid plans include access to live chat support. For large or critical events, we offer hands-on event monitoring and setup assistance—especially for Enterprise customers.
Can attendees interact during events? Yes. Enable tools like live multilingual chat, Q&A, polls, and emoji reactions to increase interaction and feedback—across any language.
Is InterScribe secure? Yes. We use TLS encryption, secure cloud infrastructure, role-based access, and comply with international privacy laws.
Is there a free trial? Yes. You can try InterScribe for free with 2 hours of live transcription included. No credit card is required. It’s the best way to explore the platform’s core features.
What is InterScribe Anywhere? Anywhere is our personal-use tool for individuals to record, transcribe, and translate speech anytime, anywhere. It's perfect for lectures, voice notes, interviews, meetings, and solo projects.
How is InterScribe Live different from Anywhere? Live (formerly called Venue) is built for events with audiences—online, hybrid, or in-person. It includes interpreter dashboards, captioning, multilingual chat, and event management tools. Anywhere is for personal use, while Live is for group sessions.
